Day 1, Saturday
Check into the The Islander Hotel located downtown throughout the day. Visit the local shops of the capital city of Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province and the location of the founding of the Confederation. Take a stroll on the seaside boardwalk or Confederation Landing Park or through the old neighborhoods with century-old mansions. Reserve tickets at least two months before you leave for Anne of Green Gables – The Musical. Enjoy the many restaurants featuring a variety of cuisines. Become assimilated to Atlantic time (one hour ahead of Eastern time). Meet your fellow group members in the evening at the welcome dinner and get together at Hunter's Ale House.

- Chicken Mushroom Melt - A grilled chicken breast, covered with mushroom sauce to perfection. Served with all you can eat soup and salad, your choice of fries, two PEI grown baked potatoes or a mound of rice and vegetables.
- Chicken Philly - Grilled chicken instead of the beef. Smothered with grilled peppers, onions and mushrooms and served on a toasted bun. Served with your choice of fries, two PEI baked potatoes or a mound of rice and vegetables.

- Scallop and Shrimp Stir Fry - Plump scallops and black tiger shrimp served with julienne vegetables over a bed of rice. Served with all you can eat soup and salad, your choice of fries, two PEI baked potatoes or a mound of rice and vegetables.
- Seafood Platter - Deep fried Shrimp, Scallops, Clam Strips and Haddock served with Steamed Island Mussels and fries. Enough for two to share, but you don’t have to. Served with all you can eat soup and salad, your choice of fries, two PEI baked potatoes or a mound of rice and vegetables.
Day 2, Sunday

Ride from Charlottetown to Summerside on the Confederation Bicycle Trail, a converted railroad bed. Leave the Rodd Charlottetown, which ironically was built by the railroad, transitioning to the start of the downtown bicycle trail. Traveling through hardwoods separated by deep hollows, which hide occasional old-growth trees and entire villages. Maple, beech and birch trees dominate with smaller species and the landscape constantly changing with a succession of wild blossoms. Wild Rose, Dogbane and other plants add fragrance to the season. The trail stays level as you alternate between cuttings and high built-up terraces crossing valleys with spectacular views. End your ride at The Loyalist Country Inn, located only a few feet off the bicycle path. Eat dinner on your own from a variety of delicious choices.

Two types of fresh quiche, assorted muffins, two types of cinnamon rolls, assorted sweet loaves and oat cakes, assortment of breads, bagels and English muffins, assorted cold cereals and yogurt, seasonal fresh fruit and fruit salad.

Day 3, Monday

Leave Summerside for the journey to Stanley Bridge. Start on the bike path and then leave the path to head north to Anne’s Land, the road will take you through some of the most beautiful farmland on the island and past historic wooden churches. Continue your day with a stop at the Ann of Green Gables or the Luch Maud Montgomery Heritage Museums as you ride overlooking the ocean and beautiful fields and cliffs. Your ride ends at the Stanley Bridge Country Resort, where you can lay by the pool or take a swim before eating dinner with the group.

Day 4, Tuesday

Start your ride east along the ocean, leaving Stanley Bridge on your way to Brackley Beach. A short riding day to allow walks on the beach, a tour of the fabled Ann of Green Gables House or just leisurely riding to soak in the beautiful ocean views. Have lunch at the café adjacent to the world famous PEI Preserve Company. Meet in the evening for a catered dinner at North Winds Hotel.
Breakfast: Coffee and continental breakfast supplied by Stanley Bridge Resort.

Day 5, Wednesday

Depart from Brackley Beach for the ride to Charlottetown. Enjoy riding throughout the National Park stopping to take in the views of the red cliffs and seashore throughout your journey. Turn back into the island on roads that are so peaceful and quiet with breathtaking farmland views. Visit the Cheese Lady Gouda Cheese and pickup some freshly made Gouda, or watch as they make the cheese. Rejoin the Confederation Trail for your arrival back into Charlottetown. Eat dinner on your own.

Enjoy a ride on the Confederation trail to Mount Stewart, a bicyclist’s meca. View the valleys, rivers, ponds and natural beauty of the eastern side of the Island. For the more adventurous, continue your ride to St. Peters. Return home for the farewell dinner.

Day 7, Friday

Tour the city of Charlottetown or ride on your own.

Please note all trip information is based on previous trips and/or contracted lodging and restaurants and is subject to change based on availability or specific trip needs.
Riding difficulty:
Riders who are comfortable riding at least 10 miles per hour should have a very enjoyable trip. The majority of the ride is on the Confederation Trail, a converted railroad bed. The remainder of the trip is on low traffic roads with moderate hills. Strong riders can ride as fast as they wish with additional mileage available.
Arriving:
Passports are required to enter Canada. Most riders arrive by automobile at the starting Hotel where parking is available. You can also fly into the Charlottetown Airport with a short cab ride into town or into the Bangor, Maine international Airport and proceed with a long car drive into Canada.
Cost:
US$1099 in 2010 and US$1199 in 2011 (US$200 due to reserve your spot and the remainder due 45 days before the trip start)
